About Us
We love candles. Our journey into the scented candle world started with blue jar candles, which we feel are some of the best-scented candles available. We love those candles and how they smell, and we continue to buy them from time to time. We just don’t like how they burn. The candle itself burns down the middle, which means wasted candle wax.
You know the kind – the wax is stuck to the side of the jar.
You know the kind – the wax is stuck to the side of the jar.

It was an inspiring article about a 14-year-old boy who taught himself how to create and sell manly-scented candles. We wanted to get serious about candle-making, so we began learning what we could about how to make candles for ourselves. We found the majority of candles use paraffin wax, which comes from petroleum. On the other hand, many candles are made from soy wax, and soy candles are the healthy, natural alternative to paraffin candles, so we decided to use soy wax in our soy candles.

We began small, but we pressed on to become where we are today. It started with us spending hours every day for months to develop new ideas that would capture our prospective audience’s attention. We asked ourselves how we could be different from other candle makers in the industry, and the answer finally came to us.
We came up with new names for the products we had, with my husband hand-sketching all labels himself using his iPad. Our Evocative candle line is a prime example of our hard work and perseverance. Every candle scent is based on a state’s tree, flower, fruit, river, mountain and lake. The name is centered on a particular characteristic of that state (Arkansas Natural Wildlife, Alaska Midnight Sun, Florida Sunshine Beach, etc.).
We hope you like them as much as we like making them! Thank you!
